The wines of Domaine de Meussaumont
At Domaine de Meussaumont, we have one objective, to express in our wines the unique terroir of the Côtes de Meuse.
To obtain it, each plot of vine is picked separately and each grape variety is picked just when it reaches full maturity.
All our grapes are picked by hand and well sorted in the vineyard so that only the best fruit reaches the cellar.
In the winery, the winemaking process is very simple and traditional with minimal intervention on our part.
Fermentation can take from 3 weeks to 6 months, we believe that time is a very important ingredient in winemaking. Once fermentation is complete, all our wines spend a long time aging on fine lees in order to obtain more roundness and complexity on the palate.
The wine is generally kept in our cellar for at least two months in bottle before marketing to guarantee the perfect integration of the wine.
